Save Alabama’s Spay/Neuter Clinics!
The Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners is going to vote to enact a rule that could close the state’s four low-cost, nonprofit spay/neuter clinics. These clinics serve low-income family pets, animal shelters, and animal protection groups across the state. Since 2007, these clinics have neutered nearly 100,000 animals and have prevented countless litters of kittens and puppies. On October 10, the Board will vote on a new ruling that could end these clinics.
We polled veterinary practices throughout Alabama to see where they stand on this issue. See where they stand on the map below. Then, speak up now and help save nonprofit spay/neuter services in Alabama.
If they oppose the new ruling and want to SAVE THE CLINICS, call and thank them for supporting nonprofit spay/neuter clinics for Alabama’s animals in need.
If they agree with the new ruling and want to CLOSE THE CLINICS, call them and ask them to please change their position and support nonprofit spay-neuter clinics for Alabama’s animals in need.
If they offered “No Comment,” or gave No Response* on the issue, call them and ask them to please change their position and support nonprofit spay-neuter clinics for Alabama’s animals in need. *Remember staying silent on this crucial issue is just as harmful as voting against it!
